Jackson's arrival

Well, as you all know by now, Jackson joined us on Septmeber 23...9 days early! We are busy adjusting to life at home with a newborn and things seem to be going well so far. It appears that he's got a lot of his daddy in him because he seems to be pretty laid back. We took him for a weigh in this past Monday and he was back up to his birth weight (8lb 11oz). He is the most precious thing and we find ourselves just staring at him and kissing him excessively. He already has such a strong head and neck and he loves to have his head tilted back. I know time will fly by, so we are enjoying every minute!

It's a.....

So, we FINALLY had our appointment with the doctor to FINALLY find out what we were having...and it's a boy!!! We are over the moon excited and it was so amazing to watch the ultrasound to see how much he's grown. Current weight is 1 lb! So now I'm struggling to contain myself at going crazy buying all the cute baby boy stuff, but that's awfully hard. We have reached the halfway point with the pregnancy, and I'm still feeling great. Just saying a prayer that the Georgia summer heat won't kill me. I am hoping to post the ultrasound pictures soon, but I am slightly challenged in that area...so my expectations of that happening are pretty low. We send love to everyone!

Ultrasound Pictures

I had another ultrasound done today as part of some high risk testing. I'm not at high risk, but my doctor offered me the testing and I decided to do it. Everything turned out fine, and the baby is looking great! It took quite some time to complete because the baby wouldn't stay still! We got some AMAZING pictures...as you can see in one of them, the baby is waving to daddy! Not to much longer and we will finally know what we are having. We can hardly wait to meet our little one!

Dr. Appt.

I had another visit with my OB today (11 weeks and 5 days now) and everything went well. She was not able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler yet, so she did an abdominal ultrasound. I got to see the baby moving all around and heard his/her strong heartbeat again...it was amazing!!! She pointed out the head, but it was so hard to tell! She said everything is looking great, so I'll see her again in another 4 weeks.

10 weeks pregnant...baby bump???

So, the debate is out...am I sporting a baby bump? Yikes...I'm only 10 weeks! Oh well, could be the baby...could be the carbs! Looking forward to getting out of the first trimester!

Snow Day!!

The snow today has been beautiful! We have been suprised that it has been snowing so hard for most of the day now. We got out and took a walk around the neighborhood and enjoyed watching a lot of families outside sledding and having fun. Hard to imagine that will be us soon! I am sure "peanut" enjoyed the walk and his/her first snow day!!
